About us...

ChiVets is the Veteran’s Section of the Chichester Golf Club and was established in 1994. Our legal status is as a voluntary Unincorporated Association

At the heart of an effective ChiVets section is the need to provide good governance, achieved by annually electing a proactive and knowledgeable committee who engage with the membership open currently to the over 60’s, adding value to all activities.

The overall aim is to encourage all members to achieve their golfing aspirations, engaging in as many golfing and social events as they want to, deriving as much pleasure from their membership as possible and at every level develop their skills in an inclusive, friendly and mutually supportive environment.

The ChiVets aim is to provide a community that encourages a spirit of friendly competitiveness, enjoyment and camaraderie among its members.

This is achieved by providing a wide choice of regular golfing events on both the Cathedral and Tower courses, properly structured within the rules of golf. Individuals’ achievements are clearly recorded so that they are informed about their progress which allows members to set goals to suit their own abilities.

A comprehensive event calendar offers the opportunity to enter competitions throughout the year, allowing individuals to test themselves and their skill level against others in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Additionally, competitions are held against other local clubs throughout the spring and summer months giving members the challenge of playing at a variety of other courses in home and away matches on a regular basis.
